Continuing our look at Plonders, here we witness one of their most unusual forms: the Hideous-Landforme. The majority of Plonder species exist near or in water in some way, except for this one particular species. They live fully on land, deep within the forests of many worlds. They are also considered behemoths within the Plonder family tree, reaching up to nearly 3 to 4 feet long and sometimes upwards of 2 to 3 feet high.
Their primary tentacle has fused to their body, while their secondary tentacles have become their main form of locomotion across the leafy ground. Their frontal snout burns off and sucks up leaf litter, while the symbiotic plant that grows out of their tail continually brushes new seeds and spores behind them. One of their more unusual, but effective, features is the long spikes that have evolved to grow out of their eye crests. These thorn-like protrusions help protect them from airborne predators and branches falling out of the trees above them.
