Paradox Creatures

Hullidalumps are a fun and gregarious species, full of jokes and an unbelievably energetic wit. These creatures hail from a far-flung, primarily beach- and swamp-based planet known as Hobodonce and have been members of intergalactic societies for many years. They are exceedingly entertaining and somehow have the ability to get other species, even serious and grumpy ones, to join them in songs, dancing, and laughing throughout the night. Their bulbous, fat-covered bodies jiggle and reverberate with every deep bit of laughter they produce.

Now don’t let their overly happy demeanor fool you. They have an incredible amount of defenses to protect them from all sorts of threats, as they evolved on a planet with a predator around every corner. Their blubber-filled bodies can fend off almost any attack, and their own laughter can be so loud that it can scare away many a threat. They are also blessed with four interconnected flaps that protrude from their shoulders and connect over their three-eyed heads. As you can tell from the patterns in these flaps, they are “Paradox-Blessed” and have an overabundance of “Patchwork-Energy.” This exotic interdimensional energy is the combination of two different realities crashing into one, and this phenomenon gives the species exotic and unknown powers.

Above these flaps, there are four exceedingly sensitive ears that are constantly rotating. They are either listening for predators or the latest and funniest joke. Now, their front limbs have actually atrophied due to their rather large size, but they have two sets of massive and symmetrical tentacles that extrude from their main bodies. These tentacles help them to pull themselves around, climb up trees, and generally high-five, or high-tentacle, anyone who is a friend of theirs. In extreme cases, these massive groups of tentacles can actually be detached from their bodies to either escape predators or shock and entertain viewers. If you ever needed someone to liven up a party, I would highly recommend inviting a Hullidalump to the proceedings.
