You really can’t find a more congenial and peaceful creature than a Connv’Nonnishi. These Earthen cow-sized floaters travel from one cliff to the next in their high, cold mountain homes, looking for a combination of small rocks, lichen, moss, and dew for their diets. Not only do they have an internal air bladder, but three long bladder antennae extend from the back of their heads and, over time, grow to cover their bulbous bodies to keep them afloat. An extremely elaborate tail helps them navigate the swirling up-and-down air currents, while two retractable and extendable sensory antennae help them navigate, locate food, and groom each other. Finally, what appear to be four deadly spikes extending from their atrophied limbs are actually anchoring appendages to help them survive surprising gusts and many an unpredicted winter storm.
